Many thanks for your work, glad to see you here!

My new PC is coming, with Win10 pro; time to choose to what version to move.

Currently I am on XF 6.5 @win7x64 now, is the eXpress the same thing, just newer, or something different?
Looking at the eXpress' manual .pdf, I see that eXpress is similar to XF. Will it (actually, the fix) run on a fresh Win10 well?

I do not have the true-server-windows PC, so, I think, there is no reason to mess with the ProServer/7.*/etc, right?

Google cant answer all of my question about running newest fixes on win 10 pro.
In the past, I have negative experience with win10 pro because mkbus fails to start up, so I ended up with my old win7x64.

so you are messing up (hot-)fixes with cracking patches???

all EFI fixes are running well on win 10.

I am afraid I do not quite understand you... But, when I have no success with win10, it was a new PC with a fresh installed win10 and a copy of XF 6.5 from this thread. I was stuck at the very initial step - Part A, "devcon install .. .inf" runs fine but that "device" simply fails to start with no reason. The same steps/files just works fine as expected with an old good win7x64.

Now I see that there is a different method for the v7.1, thanks, will try it when my new PC arrives.

Please keep in mind that Fiery Express is EOL since 2018 (see https://communities.efi.com/s/article/Fiery-eXpress-future-release?language=en_US).

Therefore, it won't be updated anymore and I'm quite sure, it doesn't share it's code base with XF.

I agree with spider: XF performs very well on Win10 (x64).

As far as I understyand it eXpress is just a thinned out version, normally just for single printer and was more affordable. You cannot make profiles directly in the application and also it doesn't support Server/Client enviroment where you can have multiple users logging onto to the RIP using the client application on their computer.
    Definately stick to V7.xx

I have 7.1 running on one w10pro 1903, and cws 6.3 running on another pc.
    Thanks, Willburwilde!
It works, have imported my 6.5 backup successfully, but the Verify button is grayed out in Job Editor.

I have i1iO and it works just fine with XF 6.5.
May be I have missed some steps in configure my 7.1 server? Should I install FCPS from separate package to make Verifyer module works? Im a bit confused with this upgrade from 6.5 to 7.1.

UPD1. Searched for the Verifier files, none found. Launched "FieryColorProfilerSuite__16c.exe", its self-unpacks, found "FCPS5\Fiery Color Profiler Suite\EFIColorVerifier.exe" and install it in 1 min on my PC workstation.
Verifier in CWS works right in the moment, I am happy. No need to reboot or even restart any apps.
