    If you use or create a lot of patterns, then yes, I would upgrade.

    CC is much more vector and web oriented, from my experience.

    I'd personally jump over CS6 to CC, if not upgrade from CS5 to CS6 is definitely worth it!

    I was on the fence about upgrading to CC for a while, but now that I've finally done it I have to say I don't regret it at all. It's way faster for me plus it has more features.

    You should make a CS5 -> CC upgrade you will have more benefits.

    I feel Photoshop CS6 more instable than CS5. But at school our config may be not suitable for CS6.
