That's right. Guaranteed highest quality fonts with no printing errors. 100 of these fonts way more useful than 10000 jaggedy TTFs.

On the other hand, if quality is not a priority, I'm sure there's lots of fun stuff in that big collection.
BUT, for them to be useable in real lfe you're going to have to spend a HELLUVA LOT of time organizing them.

Best font manager/organizer by far is FontExpert 2011 - light-years ahead of anything else. I've really been into a lot of font managers - a continual search for the perfect font organizer over the years. No need to hunt anymore, I found it. (Read the very good manual to get the most out of it).

For font conversion try TransType Pro.

I should've explained, I used Font Doctor as well but it did not always identify some of the fonts that were giving me trouble in certain typographic situations. I've found that the error-checker in FontExpert 2011 identifies problems that Font Doctor misses. Font Doctor stopped developing some time ago, whereas FontExpert 2011 is very up-to-date.

Problem with this many fonts in a collection is it's way to hard to keep them all organized and there are alot of duplicates

    Hmmm

I do love working with fonts, but I'd rather hit up dafonts.com to preview and play with before they end up on my computer. It sounds like a nightmare to just load them all and have to sort through those when you've got time limits as a professional. Might be a good way to kill time if you were bored though.

Haha i've tried to install 30 000 fonts on my desktop earlier. But it then took ages to open illustrator or indesign. Wouldn't even think of trying to install 600 000.

Now i have 600 installed fonts or so, and if anyone has a font that i don't have, i quickly install it :p

I think it isn't a good idea to have tons of fonts..
Simply you have no way to deal with.
Best to understand the relations between a few high-quality fonts and make your own smart-limited-chart
