Public Torrents are allways risky but yeah it seems to be the only way to go nowadays, have to wait and see what websites can sustain themselves. Battle just goes on and on.

I can't get my head round why so many people quit using usenet for these awful file-sharing sites. So file-sharing sites are free, but they're also a pain in the butt with their ugly in-your-face graphics and their sit-there-and-twiddle-your-thumbs-while-we-make-you-wait-and-try-and-trick-you-into-clicking-on-"Premium" tactics.

Usenet is perfect. ONE subscription - FAST (ENCRYPTED!) downloads - Everything indexed - THREE YEAR retention!!!

    Isn't it a no-brainer?

I also lost some money with the file sharing sites, but I did get a lot of useful stuff, So I can't complain.

Bob12345 I would like to know a little more about Usenet.
Where do I go to get some more info.
    Greatly appreciated.

Recommend Usenext. Best usenet retention in the business, super-fast, encryption, forum, etc. It's not Printroot (!) and it's not cheap, but it's a very valuable resource. There are others, but if you spend much time on usenet you will soon learn the value of a usenet provider that retains whole, uncorrupted archives for very long periods.

I love usenet, but it's hard to find obscure stuff, these files should be packaged into torrent!
