Gotham is nice for modern sleek looks. Just like what you see in GQ magazine :)

Carton is rather useful at the moment. Otherwise Blanch!

For me Helvetica or Gotham seem to be favourites with clients.. Gotham is such a beautiful typeface that anything you set in it seems to allude confidence..

Gotham, Helvetica, Museo are all "safe/generic" fonts I use for clients that doesn't want anything too out of the ordinary.

Thesis, Gotham, Mrs Eaves (for logos.) Thesis is great because of how huge the family is.

Depends on the project, but recently I've been using Bauer Bodoni, Caslon, Helvetica, Helvetica Neue, and Adobe Garamond...

Helvetica and Palatino. Times Roman is also well-liked by my customers.

I tend to use sans serifs that have some interest to them like Nexa or even Tikal Sans. When paired with the right slab serif, they have a versatility that prints well.

It's always really fun to choose the right lettering for new project.
IMHO, the best choice is still choose fonts that have the various forces from extralight to ultra. The classic bodoni/didot, din/trade gothic, rotis family are often good starting choices,

trying to resist the charm of TheSans and TheSerif, my lovely fonts...
