I've just bought Founders Grotesk. I think its whole family is great.

For books, I do 95% in Adobe Garamond.
Use Old Style figures, not lining.
Chapter titles, often use Roman numerals and small caps.

Very traditional, basically 400 years old, but I like it.

For novels, small pages, mass market style, maybe 10.5 pt text. Larger pages, 6x9", 11.5, 12, even 13, if I need to bulk the book out.

I've tried other fonts, Bodoni is very attractive, used it for a 19th C period flavour once.

For covers and layouts I'm more adventurous.
