Garamond is my usual default- it's versatile and easy to work with and classic. I do like to use as many different ones as possible but a lot of times clients already have their fonts set so I have to use what they already have.

    Didot

Definitely Didot, nothing beats it. Didoni is cool too.

    I love Bodoni.
Love reading through posts like this as I find you sometimes get stuck in a font rut & reading this makes me go "oh yeah, I forgot about (add awesome font here)!

I like to stick to one of my first loves... I use Avant Garde Gothic for ages now and still not sick of it! For the elegant look i would pick a more light version of it (not like the one below)

Of course I'd use Didot, Didot Elder, Bodoni etc... but I've been working lately with Solomon, bought on Hype for Type, that's a quite nice font, with possible ornaments and many weights!

Mrs. Eaves can be nice, especially the italic version.

In my opinion Didot or Bodoni is the best.
