I think that the user interface is more easy to use than the adobe suite.

Corel Draw will be used by more and more artists and designers now that Adobe has announced its Couud Fiasco.

why not update ??? or better why you use win8?
to me it sounds you don't use at all coreldraw!!!
I jumped from corel 12 to corel xv and now i work with corelx6 and I'm very happy with it! I have about 6 to 10 jobs every day from the more simple to the more complicated and in 80% of them I use corel.

    coreldraw unearthen in time capsule

The reason corelDRAW is simple to use is because it hasn't advanced since the 90's

It is easy to use and faster in working that is why people still prefer to use it however I prefer CS5.

    Try x5-x6
    X3 run only in 32bit, win8 prefer 64bit

If I open an corel 5 cdr (yes corel 5, not X5) arrk from 1997 it could contain 24 pages.
Corel had everything we needed (freehand got it too). The same in illustrator? 24 pages = 24 ai.
NOW Illustrator can make evertyhing. I like Illustrator 6. Forget the past!

It was very useful to make business-cards and calendars...
I agree Ill more accurate %)
You can rotate guidelines like lines. Just try it. Maybe you locked them.
Curve editing is different. But you can edit...
shotcuts: select some elements, (use pick tool) press these: P,E,L,R,B,T, C. These are the shortcuts. If you want more, try Tool/customisation/command menu.
Customize! (got) And your work will be faaast.
Got Illustrator workspace customization too. Illustrator got only freehand-like.
Multipage. Sorry it's Coreldraw! It works different.

I have similiar problems with Illustrator, I couldnt find some options. I make the base in Corel.
if I need, load it (as pdf) in Illustrator and I use the corel-different effects.
