    Easily pathfinder… makes life so easy. Also, mapping cmd + D to "Place" just like in InDesign was the best thing I ever did.

    Definitely the effects menu. Amazing when you make some changes to an object, and you can apply the same exact s to another.

    Calculator Inside

    I've wrote a tutorial about this amazing feature that I found by mistake...
    Using the Transform Panel to make some maths is awesome...

    Effects menu and Livetrace are the s I use the most I think. Also, the pen tool.

    my favorite is the pen tool, allows me to do whatever i want in terms of vector graphics.

    I think the Transform effect (Effects/Distort&Transfrom/Transform) is a highly underrated effect. I worked out a workflow with it to do seamless patterns.
    Just do shift the image to the left, than the right, than up, than down (4 separate effects). This allows you to see the pattern work in real-time, while editing the original piece. Very handy!
