I'd prefer Adobe, but have not options on a Mac

Bthw, CorelDraw is often use in Russia otherwise, cause it’s price. Also Corel is better for drawing logos or manually tracing them from raster images rather then Illustrator. And maybe no alternate for cutting plotters, imho, in our country.

    anymore?

    Muhaha...

Adobe owes Corel easily... and plotting from within Illustrator works like a charm. Only thing is..Adobe is becoming a monster and will eat all of us alive (subscripion based pricing scheme...but apparently Corel is not much better in that regard.)

Corel is less popular, but it's useful for some applications. Such as drawing curves for plotter cutting.

    Corel Versus Adobe

    Hi Folks,
I have to say there is a reason Adobe has the number software titles in the world.
I have used Corel and Adobe products for over 23 years and while Corel's software is adequate, it does have it's issues.
Of course so does Adobe's software but in my humble opinion, Adobe is the best overall by far.

Corel still has a pretty good footprint when it comes to sign professionals that do not want to spend the my on FlexiSign and hstly if they do not own a digital printer, they have no need for anything else as they can cut directly from Corel. We used it before we started buying the wide format printer/cutters.

We are using both adobe design softwares and coreldraw.
both of them have different approach to design and print solutions. We prefer to use illustrator as main vector designing tool, indesign for layout and coreldraw to imposition and printing. Especially for printing without a rip software, corel gives many opportunities to make repeating tasks
