So two people have recommended Corel Draw, but no-one has said why he might want this when he already has the Adobe Design Suite?

In my company we use it for trivial jobs, it comes with font navigator and print merge option option for VDP. We print a lot jobs with variable data like tickets and prepaid mobile vouchers so for the price of licence it's a bargain.

    Exclamation

To print jobs with variable data you can use InDesign and Illustrator too. I do it in InDesign.

I can say. You might want Corel if you need to do secure design for certificate for example. There is nice plug-in SecuriDesign for CorelDRAW. Illustrator has no such thing as i now.
    Excuse my english.

Not sure if you will be doing any 3D, but I've played around with Strata Enfold 3D CX for box display generating and it's really handy once you get the hang of it. Used it for ancillary product ideas in a powerpoint and it looks sharp.
