    Quark or Indesign

Ever since I started using indesign, my quark usage is minimal, event to the point of most shortcuts have been forgotten...

Yep, I've always liked InDesign better, but then again, I'm an old PageMaker guy. :)

I use InDesign for two reasons:
    1. InDesign includes more features.
    2. On Mac OS X is not seen fresh QuarkXPress.

    Guys,
I thinks this has been an oft discussed theme here on the Sofa. Just do a search for In design and you will see what I mean although most of the older threads seem to have been pruned,.

    InDesign.

Why? It provide seamless productivity among other "routine" formats that I use daily (PSD, AI, EPS etc)
Why is that? Adobe. They, "by design", created the Creative Workflow among their products.
Why again? Community, wide range of third party plugin and resources.

    Smile qxp vs id

This turned into the 'Mac or PC' arguments of years ago. Most more experienced people in the print trade started off using Quark Xpress and many moved to Indesign once the bugs had been fixed. Most people seem to have moved simply because Indesign is part of the Creativity Suite and now all the components look the same. My company stayed with QXP simply because two of our big customers still use it. I'm sure that as they change we will too. Most print is now done through a pdf workflow so whatever you use to make the artwork should be irrelevant.

Quark Xpress or Indesign? Use whatever you are happy with, it's the end result that matters.
