    Problem with Vector-Smart-Objects

    Hey guys,

since recently, ive been having some trouble with Photoshop CC + Illustrator CC.
In my usual workflow, i often copy vector graphics from illustrator to photoshop then play around with it. I'd always click "insert as: vector smart object" and everything would look good.

Now, for whatever reason, everything i copy/place over from illustrator into photoshop looks shaby, especially if its complex vector graphics with fine details. If the vector graphics had smooth edges in illustrator, they'd now look jagged over in photoshop. Very fine details within the shapes are lost.

Could i have accidently changed a setting that causes this? Anyone got any idea?

photoshop is a bitmap editor - not for vectors if you can avoid it.

Im aware that you cant edit vectors directly in photoshop. But for years, ive been embedding Vector graphics in photoshop as smart objects. If i needed to edit them in any way, id double click on the smart object, edit them, save the file, and photoshop would automatically refresh the changes.

Since recently, i cant even place an .eps of a simple logo in photoshop. The edges of the logo will look horrible and anything but smooth. What is going on?

I checked an older version of photoshop that i have installed, too. Everything works fine there if i try to insert the same vector graphic. So there really has to be some setting in CC that i mustve accidently changed. Any ideas?

Immediately after you paste the vector smart object, up in the options bar there is one for "Anti-alias", make sure it is checked. You can always right+click (win) / cmd+click (OSX) on the object, select "free transform" and toggle the option as well.
