Problem with a file in CorelDRAW

    Hello,
    I was wondering if anybody could help me;
I have a ".cdr" file that i created a while ago (about 6 months ago). Although the file is small (1 or 2 mb) it takes about 5 minutes to open it; I tried to open it on 3 different computers and I encountered the same problem.
I think it has something to do with the many colorstyles/views/etc in it because I "pasted" contents from multiple files, but my question is: Can I "clean" the file without opening it in CorelDRAW? Is there any way to do this?

    Clean colors in CDR

    Try this:
Tools - color styles - delete all colors you have there, use select color and delete.

    save as the file

    that works for me

    thanx for the replys
I can't delete the color styles because there are millions:))
I will try to open it with the f8 key pressed, hope that works.
I understood that if you save in .cmx format all the color styles, views will be purged; is that true?

P.S. It's nice that they fixed the problem in x5 sp2, but too bad for me because I have x4 at work :(

Always when you convert the file to corel x4 x5 times the error, indicated it would install corel x5

    Using PDF

If you can open you file in CDR x4, try this?

    a) publish or print you file to PDF.

    b) make sure that when you open a new file in corel x4 there are no colors in colors styles.

    c) open or import the PDF file in CDR x4.

I tried this with a file I receveid today that has a lot of colors in the colors style and i publish it to PDF (File > publiush to PDF), when I open the PDF in CDR X4 (file > open file.pdf) there was no colors in style colors.
