Fireworks is for websites right? I normally used the trio (ai, ps, ind) and did some mock-ups for websites in flash. But i dislike Photoshop for websites, id rather create a quick grid in illustrator and then export it as a psd.

When drawing some simple illustration I prefer Fireworks, but other jobs, Photoshop is hand down the most powerful.

I used to use Fireworks, but Adobe didn't develop it good since they bought it from Macromedia, I guess they want you to use Illustrator or PS...

Photoshop is my main option, I really haven't used Fireworks since their acquisition by Adobe.

Photoshop of course. The feature much much better, and also many great plug ins for photoshop.

But I think it's unfair to compare Fireworks with Photoshop...

IMO, the reason Adobe still maintains Fireworks is because they want to use it for Web Design needs. Photoshop for publishing needs.

But still weird, since Adobe bought Macromedia, why Adobe not merge Photoshop and Fireworks together :D instead of make it different products.

    two uses different

Photoshop program is designed in order to created and edit images directed to the graphic printing .On the other hand the Fireworks is designed to edit images too but directed to web page

I'm curious how you guys feel about this since Adobe stopped development on fireworks. Would you be interested to see features from Fireworks in Photoshop (i.e. pages?)
