    Exclamation

Definitely Mac has better performance, you can get it with Linux too but you must have some knowledges about bash. And I don't want to say anything about windows, no comments

Mac, it's cleaner and the color seems to fit better for my graphic design work. but that's just my preference. I have been using windows since I started, but 3 years ago I changed to Mac and never looked back. :)

pc is cheaper and has more resources at its disposal. not to mention mac's annoying tendency towards proprietary stuff...

the only real advantage mac has over pc is its stability.

I have used both, and right now my laptop is a PC. I had a budget so I felt like I got more bang for my buck. I typically upgrade computers every few years so rather than selling out almost $3k for the mac book with retina, I went for a PC for just over $1100 that has more than everything I need, plus a touch screen (which surprisingly I use).

10 years ago I used PC. Now I only use mac :)
I like Mac, it's more clean, easy and fast. But honestly the main reason I use mac because of the Apple's products design (macbook pro, iMac). Looks beautiful, elegant. The bad thing from mac is the price, expensive.

And maybe because Microsoft used Windows XP too long time, they not updating / making new OS, and then Mac launch first OSX, everything changed, moving to iMac sunflower (my first mac product). I've tried my friend's PC windows 7, but still OSX is much much better.

    Prefer PC..

    1. Cheaper/more efficient components/upgrades.
    2. I use Windows and it's scary stable since Windows 7 came out.
    3. I like to assemble my own stuff and upgrade when I want, to what I want. See 1.
    4. More games, more programs, less turtlenecks and unfounded hype.
    5. Design atheist. A good Mac is no better than a good PC at design work.

As far as Macs being more stable. Meh. Any idiot can destroy a PC, and idiots often do, then blame the computer. I think Macs may make it slightly harder, meaning idiots have a roadblock. :D

MAC. I've owned my current mac for 4 years. 4 years with PC means at least 8 formats/OS reinstalls with same amount of attempted suicides.

Mac seems more durable for me.
My 2009 iMac is still fast as a new one.

I have a Mac at work and a PC at home. As far as using it for design there is no difference. If you are one of these people who like to build your own computer, tinker with it, play games on it then the PC is better. The downside of the PC is because of viruses and tinkering I have to reinstall the OS at least once a year. The Mac is more stable - it has less crashes and it just works.

PC - more freedom to create your own workstation, with hardware you want.
Great combination is PC + OS X.

by day (job) i work on MAC, by night (home) I work on PC. I'm seriously feeling the difference in system details such as - my wacom tablet runs so much smoother and faster on my mac. I get home and it just feels laggy and sluggish. At home I've tried looking up all sorts of forums, foddled with all sorts of tablet setting, turned a bunch of stuff off and well... it turns out thats just the way PC handles tablets. I've been a PC fan since the Macromedia Flash days and have been using it since buuuut as an avid tablet user this is a big one for me and now im just counting the days down until the new Mac Pro is released.

As soon as I stopped gaming heavily on my PC, I switched to mac and never went back. Although I use PCs at work. LOL go figure.

Used Windows for about 20 years, then I switched jobs to an agency that uses Macs. At first I didn't really see what's so great about OSX, but once you learn to take advantage of the features, it's been great. I wouldn't want to be without the Quick Look, Spotlight or Mission Control features anymore.

Didn't take long for me to change to OSX at home as well, although I chose to run it on a hackintosh. Works great!
