    PC vs. MAC

I personally looove my MAC! But I have a PC laptop. I'm equally comfortable on both systems, but we lean towards MAC for ease of use and great displays.

    Mac all the way

Both PC and Mac suits particular needs. Somehow for designers, MAC is the best.
    - First is the look, we care about looks and MAC provides just that.
    - Second is the display. The mac displays colors beautifully and exactly, very close to the prints on paper. PC's displays is a mess.
    - Mac is stable, easy to use and friendly UI. PC is too complicated, so many stuffs to install, so many things to care about. Mac helps me focus on what I really care.
    - In conclusion, every desinger should use a MAC, despite its expensive price. You have to work with the best computer in order to create the best designs. PC is fine with everyone else, familiar and reasonable price.

Well, I use MAC since college, not only because is more intuitive, but also in safety against virus and all that stuff.. I never installed a anti virus in my mac!

I am a seasoned Mac user. Whenever I have to use a Windows PC, I feel puzzled and uneasy. Why do simple tasks seem more complicated on a PC? Perhaps it's just me and my unfamiliarity with PC's, but I would never trade my Mac for a PC. I know, it's largely a matter of personal preferences. One thing is for sure, though: with a Mac, you're much less prone to virus attacks. That alone should do the trick...

I think arguing over MAC vs. PC is totally redundant since they both use the same hardware nowadays.

It's like arguing over which F1 team makes the best car, when they all have basically the same internals - its the driver that makes the biggest difference =)

Correctly assembled PC with a normal monitor works quite well and is stable. Programs run too stable at the correct settings. We are all built on the PC. It is enough.

After switching to a mac 10 years ago for design work, I could really never imagine going back to windows as my primary OS. Everything usually just works much more smoothly, and when it doesn't I'd way rather use terminal than the windows CLI

First mac I worked on was a Macintosh Performa in 1996, tower model. I always had PC's before that. Back then I found it amazing I didn't have to install an OS. Took some time to install Windows 95 from 13 floppy discs.....
I switched between Mac's and PC's frequent; mostly PC at home (cheaper) and Macs at work (not my bill).
I was quite a Windows geek, knowing my way around the system. When I got to Mac OS X I totally dropped that. OS X was such a relief! Such an organized OS. I didn't need to tweak the hell out of it like I used to do to my Windows box. So I sold my PC and got a MacBook Pro. Best laptop I ever owned. Since then I've gotten an iMac and upgraded the MBP a few times.
Installed Windows 8 on my MBP a while ago and it drove me NUTS! I'm staying on the Mac side of things. I'd consider Linux if the big graphics software would be available.
