The thing I like best about my Mac is that it's been solid since the day I bought it. It is a bit of an initial investment, but I haven't had to do any upgrades or anything. I've had it nearly 6 years. Bought it top of the line but it's still flawless.

I had my macbook stolen not too long ago.
Had to work briefly on windows. Everything just felt so cluttered and ridged. Work-flow felt extremely robotic.
After 3 years of using OSX ever day. It just becomes an ease. Dock and finder tool is what macs.

I think it comes down to personal preference. I worked with both for several years and they each have their pros and cons. My preference is with the Mac. The ease of use in both hardware and software and ofcourse the looks of the devices.

I prefer PC. PC is cheaper but still as good as mac (or better). Seriously, you can get the same exact component in a mac but still get a better price in PC. In PC, you also can play more games than mac. For designing? Designing come from creativity not from tools. It doesn't matter what tools did you use, whether it is PC or Mac. I tried both (I have PC and MacPro), and I prefer PC for designing, video editing, basically, anything.

    Entertainment for pc
Design and all proffesional work with hackintosh

Macs are too dam expensive, if you have what it takes build a hackintosh, they work like a charm and are very easy to upgrade and stuff works like the original plus no bootcamp troubles and multibooting support.

Macs are much more tailored to creative work, IMHO.

A lot of the newer design software like Sketch and Macaw (not released yet) are usualy built for Macs first.

Definitely Mac! I've used it for years now and I just can't switch back! I don't even know how to use a PC anymore...

I own a PC but I prefer Mac because of its color management, I do photography so it's important to have a right color

If you want the simple and clean looks go with the mac, but if you want the cheap and speed flexibility go with PC

I've worked 2 years in a iMac and now im working with the 2 OS and i spend most time in Windows 8, the bad thing in Mac Os is the consume of memory. Windows 8 still light and i think to work with Photoshop and Illustrator is better Windows flows better. Just my opinion

    PC

I started on a Mac but have since moved to a PC. Initially the Mac was best for Graphic Design work but the PC was way better for the internet/internet business. I got the PC because of online work. Now though apart from the price there is very little to choose between the two when it comes to graphics or the internet.
