I have found the WhatTheFont Forum to be very helpful when WhatTheFont does not achieve the desired results. Lots of very knowledgeable folks in there.

I tend to get all of my fonts from private trackers when I can't manage to get them legit.

Google FontMatch 1.8.7 is helpful software and save time to find the font name.

That's awesome! I didn't know these sites existed. Man that's gonna save me so much time... I typically look at a font and based on that I just trawl through font libraries till I find one that looks similar.... rofl

Font Explorer from Quick Brown Fox GmbH would build your private database and search upon it from scanned image. Very useful. It is limited though to 17.000 fonts... Not existing anymore, so if anyone needs it, I can provide. PM me

And if anyone can share ImagaroZ, who can build up to 100.000 fonts (pro version) in private database I would appreciate. I sure would!

Your comments have been very helpfull. I was having a hard time trying to figure out blazer font and whatthefont recognized it right away. I am in the signs and awning business but not so good with graphics designing so I have to rely on fonts rather than trying to use corel to recreate logos so I am glad I found this site and your post. Thanks again.
