The original ebay logo always looked like it was going to topple over. At least now it seems more balanced.

agreed, not bad on its own, but compared to the original, this is a step backwards.

I disagree, the USA refresh is fantastic - just look how adaptable it is within it's applications.

I though the 'GAP' rebrand that went ahead / didn't go ahead was pretty undercooked.

I think the USA Today logo works well within the brand, but it doesn't quite work out of context.

My personal least favorite logo update is this:

    Ugh. Hate it.

If you're strictly talking about the logo then maybe but.... as an all encompassing brand this was a bold and smart move because of all possibilities it's opened up by using a simple dot/circle.

I know this is a "least fav" thread... but can I just say how awesome the Cheer redesign is!

Another reason for the change was because they couldn't "own" the word "Sci Fi" so altering the spelling made it theirs.

Maybe they could have updated the old logotype and kept the symbol to keep it recognisable.

Yes, I agree the rebrand provided a smart solution by treating the world/dot as a window.

Yahoo's logo was very underwhelming, especially with such a long teaser campaign...

If I remember correctly, one of the letters in the Google logo was adjusted vertically one pixel so that it matched the other five.

The latest and worst would definetly be Yahoo... Not that the old was much better, but now they made it even worse!
