I've started using CC since last week. So far, it's absolutely perfect.
The only thing I don't know, do I have to connect at least once a month to keep using the suit?

    Sorry for my bad english,

    Monthly or yearly subscription

Hi! I'm also interested on creative cloud but I've been thinking... which subscription is better? The monthly package or the yearly one? All I can see is there's not much difference since both of them are billed monthly and the monthly plan is cheaper.

I'm still hesitant, but I do think it can work out to be advantageous if they continue to make regular updates to the software.

For me is a good idea the "temporary" rent of the single softwares, but I can't understand why the rent for 1 or 2 months is more expensive than the 1 year. In my opinion the price should be the same and make a plan to rent the softwares for a whole year (and split the payment monthly) or keep the "old" buy options when you can buy "for life" one product as like many people have the need of a software for a single project, but there's also softwares that you'll always need (Photoshop for example).

I had to take a look at more info about CC to see if my satellite internet would cause issues. I have a daily usage allowance which makes it difficult to install updates and run programs that require internet access. Looks like you have to connect every 30 days to check the license. You can use it in offline mode for 30 days if you're a month-to-month subscriber or 99 days if you're an annual subscriber.

Overall I'm loving CC but my agency does pay for it, so perhaps that's why!

I have encountered a couple of issues that still have not been rectified in the updates though, they are minor things but can be very irritating:
    1. Illustrator
Every so often (and for not apparent reason) Illustrator throws up an error message saying Verdana needs to be installed and will not open. Seeing as it's a system font it is always installed and active. I think it's something to do with me using Suitcase Fusion 5 for my font management. I have to open Font Book, deactivate it, reactivate and restart.
    2. Illustrator & Fireworks
For web design I prefer to use Fireworks as it handles vectors and raster graphics really well and is preferred by many programmers as it's easier to get the information needed to code (e.g. line-height of text, Hex values etc.) You cannot copy vectors from Illustrator CC to Fireworks CS6 (they're no longer developing Firework, but this is a while different complaint). Since I always work in Illustrator CC I have to also open CS6 if I want to transfer anything across in a simple copy/paste or back save as an EPS.

A major plus point of CC is that although it is purchased through work you can download the desktop app at home, install all of your software and sync your settings for free!

It works on two computers, so if you have a friend who is also interested it is VERY reasonable.

I want to buy software. The Idea of a monthly payment should be just an alternative for people who don't need it often. And there should be a free student license like solid works.

I'm a big fan of CC simply because of the quick releases of new features.

I think it only works on one of those computers at a time though if you're logged in to CC.

I use CC since 2 months.
There is not much difference with cs6, but i think over one half year there will come more new features.
