    Ideal University to Learn Typography

Hi, I am currently looking for university that teaches typography. I hope the university will teach their curriculum in English too! Any suggestion?

Most universities that offer graphic design will offer a typography course however there are also lots of great books on typography if you're eager to jump in! Check out the book suggestions thread below!

    Hey zhiliangggg !
You should definitly learn french and come to France or go to Bruxelles ! You have for example La Cambre (Bruxelles), Estienne (Paris) or the Ésad (Amiens, France) which have some really great studies

    Tobias Frere-Jones graduated from RISD
Eric Gil from Central Saint Martins

Names don't really mean anything though, look up dutch and swiss design schools. Saw students work at the AGI last year and was impressed by the standard of creativity.

I can't think of any in the western hemisphere that teach typography particularly well as a main focus. Many great design programs, but nothing too specific.

Well, the two most famous programs would be:

University of Reading program in Typography and Graphic Communication
    http://www.reading.ac.uk/typography/

Type and Media Program at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hauge
    http://www.kabk.nl/pageEN.php?id=16

and many traditional design programs have strong programs in typography...
