    Because standard grids don't always are what i'm looking for i love the "GuideGuide" photoshop plugin... It lets you set things like numbers of col, width (collumn and gutter) and margins...

    I realy love it for my webdesigns

    Interesting use of grids and grid layouts for print.
    I myself am more towards web-design where grid layouts are great; but you also have to scale them down gracefully for the whole mobile experience.

    For graphic design, does anyone else use the Golden Ratio as a grid?
    I sometimes use it for any kind of design... and it actually works.

    Yes, this is exactly why I try NOT to use traditional grids on my designs.
    Like I said originally, I sometimes use it, more specifically... when the end result
    doesn't look that obvious and crappy, unless it's a fairly complex design...
    then I don't use grids at all.
