    I've tried em all

I've used Suitcase and fontexplorer, preferred the later. I have had high hopes for font agent (the world's smartest font manager) but it seems to poop out when I start loading a large volume of fonts into it. Does anyone know if all the plugin integration problems with cs6 have been fixed for fontexplorer?

    FontAgent Pro

I've used pretty much all of them and when I discovered Fontagent I knew my search was over. Wouldn't go back to any other. CS6 threw up a hissy fit but the updatehas pretty much sorted it out.

i'm still stuck in suitcase fusion 3 (on mac). i'm excited to read through all of this though and see what other people are thinking. suitcase is still not bad, updates immediately across all apps. font collecting is a bit easier now also.

The best software for fonts is fontlab fontographer

It seems simpler. It copies a set of the fonts to your user/Library/Fonts folder which can easily be deleted. I like that.
Suitcase had the feature of loading fonts temporarily, which seemed handy when dealing with different versions of the same font where reflow would occur when using the wrong version of Helvetica, for example. Not really useful enough to keep using Suitcase.
Also Suitcase had the ability to open fonts automatically when using the plug-in for your app. This may be handy for some, but I prefer to load them manually.
Any other reasons to not use Font Book?
I would like to have an app where I can quickly scan thru the same character in a number of fonts to help match a font or get something I like (without using the online font guessing sites). Or browse fonts based on style, i.e., serif, script, etc.
Is there any app out there for that?
