    Disorted typography effect

    Hello,
    does anyone have an idea how to achive effect of typography disortion similar to the attached example?

    Liquify filter in Photoshop maybe.

    If you have the resources and patience, you can also achieve this effect by using a scanner and manually dragging the paper as it scans.

    Try Transform > Warp for a bit more subtle effect of this type as well.

    Also try to check the distort filters. Some generates nice effects and if you isolate each letter, you can get also interesting effects...

    thank you all for response. i spent some time on playing with moving print while scanning. its engaging and works pretty cool. especially after a few tries when its possible to kind of predict effects.

    You can also achieve this with DScan app for iPhone . Im using that one from time to time , and Glitché app has some similar effects : )

    If you liquify you might find the edges a bit more blurry than you would like, you can then trace your "allmost-there" result in illustrator for crisp vector lines goodness
