I would advise to use Photoshop (there's a reason why it's the most popular piece of photo-editing software around), but you should learn to work with illustrator as well (vector graphics).

From the questions I assume you do not have a lot of experience with graphics ...
If you ask what is better Corel or Adobe for professional use, the answer of course Adobe.
As already written above, there are:
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite - has all for processing bitmap and vector graphics and is for beginners and semi-professional (even pro) use very good.
Adobe has ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE in different versions and is practically standard in the graphics business.
And of course if you mean serious in the graphic business you'll need to deal with both.

PS my first article on forum and sorry my English is poor.

I haven't used Corel in years... but I found Illustrator & Photoshop way easier to use. Just my preference.

It is good to know both but they do not go hand in hand. Corel is more less compared to like adobe illustrator. Photoshop is in a world of its own.

Adobe CS Design Standard is all you need. Forget Corel.

I agree with that, and if you purchase adpbe package it is more profitable.

    I absolutely agree with this.
And I would say use all of them.
