    Problem with Fiery on C3200

I am having a problem with the fiery on my C3200. I am using Win Vista and when I go to print I can print using the PCL driver with no problems. If I try to print from the PS3 driver it never receives the document and my print screen on my comp just says error. The 3200 will flash receiving a couple of times but then doesnt do anything else. I have went to Canon site and reinstalled different versions of PS3. I like to use the PS3 as it sometimes matches color better than the PCL. Thanks.

Canon ImageRunner 5051 and Adobe CS and PDFs

My company 8 months into a lease with a Canon 5051 imagerunner. We have had constant and changing problems with the machine that include not drawing paper any heavier than "plain" from drawers (can only use side tray), unworkable mailboxes and weekly visits from techs for everything from color registration and quality to printer driver problems (we use a Fiery system). We rely nearly solely on Adobe software (CS3 and Acrobat 8 pdfs), and it is becoming more and more clear that Canon and Adobe don't get along well.

I am writing to find out if there are Art Directors or others out there who would care to recommend any alternative manufacturer (Xerox, Ricoh?). Where working with Adobe products is lower maintenance than this?

    Trailing print on C3200

I have a C3200 with fiery. I am printing a full color 2 sided brochure. The black print looks like its smeared or tailing. It makes the black type look blurry. The back side doesnt do it as bad as front side. Is there some sort of cleaning that needs to be done?

    C3220 vertical defect

Our C3220 have strange vertical line, it affect all colors and is from top to bottom of the sheet, not always at the same position, it can move about 1 inch left or right, but it's always on the right side of the sheet and it don't show on every print (About once every 5 copy)

My first reflex was to check the ITB unit, I disassembled it and everything was perfect, not dirty at all, the drive roller was not dirty either, the Secondary transfer internal roller was a little bit more dirty but not enough to explain the problem.

I cleaned everything and the problem is still there.

Here is pictures of the problem, it really look like a roller speed synchronization problem or something like that.

    Envelopes on C3200

I have a C3200. I am having trouble running envelopes. I have tried some #10 regular, and window and some classic laid. I run them in the stack bypass and set it to envelope. It prints fine but it always seals the envelopes shut. I tried running them straight thru with flaps open but then it jams or wrinkles them up. What are the tricks to running envelopes??

The heat is sealing the glue on the flap. if you cant control the heat then maybe try a different envelope mfg. But no matter what you use you are trying the nearly impossible I think.
I shoulda gone to college instead of the family print shop...

    how I do it

Open the envelopes and place them square end first in the bypass feeder. Set your job up upside down (180 degrees) in your app. You may need to use artificial (imaginery)papersize to ge the position of the image right. Watch the envelopes as they come out as they will curl unless you ensure that they are laying flat as they cool down.

Good quality envelopes will not wrinkle

If there is no technical problems it could be that your rendering intent is set to Absolute Colorimetric which simulates paper color and could result in a grey background on a printer. Just a thought...
