There are quite a few sites that have huge logo file packs available for download. That is a good way to get a large amount in one shot if you're working with major corporation's logos quite often. But for the "one-off" jobs I almost always use Brands of the World. Their "Active" and "Obsolete" status is extremely helpful if it is a logo you aren't really familiar with. Nothing is more embarrassing than sending a layout for approval that includes a logo the company hasn't used for several years.
Thanks for it
Sometimes, if there's not a logo that you are seeking for on these sites (maybe it's not that mainstream corporation, or sth like that), it often helps just to e-mail the corporation and they'll usually send you full presskit. Worked many times. :)

So true, :-) if possible mail the press department
Really great. Love it. Thanks a lot!
VectorForum.com is good if you're looking for something very obscure or just a file brandsoftheworld might not have. They are very helpful in this area.
I have used most of these sites and they have saved me hours of time.
If I am stuck, I usually try to do a search for the name of the brand I am looking for, followed by.eps or .pdf (pdf usually works best). You then tend to find brochures that you should be able to download and if you are lucky the logo wil be in that file as vector, so you can open it in Illustrator and strip out what you need.
Yes, I prefere PDF searching to!
really good tip...works great!!
search google with "filetype:svg"
Wow... That's awesome. Thanks again!
been using brandsoftheworld for a long time, nice to find other sites, thanks
