    Font Explorer was the best

I used suitcase explorer and found Fontexplorer to be superior. That is until I got my new mac with Mountain Lion and CS6. I found that it was causing problems with the actual functionality of any of the programs that were using its plugins. Even with Linotype's updates, it still doesn't work for me.

    suitcase fusion

i pretty much tried everything, but Suitcase remains the most solid solution for heavy prepress work. not perfect, of course, but the best.
