Having used a handful of them, I've decided to stick to Font Book at the moment. It has enabling/disabling of fonts, and that's all I really need it for. For editing fonts I use FontForge, though.

For the mac environment it is definitely Suitcase Fusion. The auto activation works with well with the Adobe programs, and the protection from font corruption is good.

    Font Explorer X

After trying many of them, I use Font Explorer (Lynotipe).

I've never used Suitcase, although they seem similar. Does any who has tried both, can you tell me which is your favorite and why?

I'm currently using Font Explorer 3.5.3 on the mac. I know 4 is out (the app nags me all the time to upgrade), but nothing seems broke, so I'm scared to "fix" it. Any have any upgrade pains with the new version & the CS suite?

Still, Suitcase seems to be the popular choice…
