Best new font for a book ?

I'm going to start a culinary book and I want to use an original font type.

If you want Serif, you could try Periódico.

If I were you I would start look around for which glyphs I need to use for the book.
Glyphs like ½, ml. or such will look the best if they are customly cut and included in the typeface. I would also consider if I would need smallcaps and make sure that the typeface had that as well.

Try out with some of these...
    Arno Pro
    Adobe Jenson

Or one of these (Real smallcaps not included)
    Adobe Garamond Pro
    Baskerville
    Caslon
