    I agree with this, in particular if it's used in interesting ways like this:


    I also think for indoor wayfinding directional signs, any typeface that fits well with your branding could work depending on how it's used.

    I really like how Seattle's Public Library uses Futura in their wayfinding.

    Any typeface designed to work at small sizes will generally perform well in use as signage since both have to be readable in potentially poor conditions (weather, partially obscured, etc.). Also, consider which symbols(icons) are included, and how they'll be able to be set well with type, even if a designer isn't involved for all executions. This is where documentation for the system is pretty important.
