    Helvetica, it's just so boring
Also FF Meta is overused where I live in shitty advertisements.

    Goofy it is!

I have a rookie co-worker who discovered this font and absolutely LOVES it. Uses it on EVERYTHING, including NEWSPAPER HEADLINES.

And the editor and other paginators (who are NOT designers at all) let her use it when she's paginating. They think it's SO creative.

(She recently used Mussica Swash and Aphrodite together in header of the SAME AD.)

So we have a newspaper full of ads and heads with the SAME GOOFY, IMPROPERLY USED FONT.
I just saw the font and I have to say, it's nice in it's own way, but imagining it being on a headline doesn't seem to resolve. Do you have pictures of those articles you might want to share? We'd love to see that! From where I work, Calibri and Papyrus dominate the whole scene. Not to mention Arial. I wish that people would wake up to this horrible nightmare of abusing distracting fonts. I like how you use the word "SO creative" :) I can relate to this predicament :)

Lobster, the script style font. I see it everywhere used in applications which make no sense.

Friends don't let friends use Papyrus. And though it's an excellent font, can we all take a break from using Gotham? Please? I'm working on a design for a company that just rebranded and the entire logo consists of book weight Gotham. It's like they don't want people to notice them.

Carolyna Pro Black, which I love back when I first bought it, but now it's every invitation designer's go-to script. Oh & "Scriptina" which is probably the worst font I've ever seen and yet I still see business logos designed with this atrocious font!

Arial. Most people using Windows and who want a serif text use it. Arial Narrow is even worse.

Georgia. It's used as the primary font for everyday use at my law firm, as well as marketing materials. Not my choice, mind you. Yes, it is consistent as used in printed materials and on the firm website. But it screams ordinary, when I think our firm should present itself as unique and exceptional.

Bebas Neue. It’s actually a very nice font, but terribly overused lately, especially with trendy/hip/contemporary designs.

Gotham, the new Helvetica. Way overused.
