So then, try to change the compatibility in the properties of the installer to Windows 7.

    Dj.Dance thanks for a great tutorial :)

One question: I managed to follow you tutorial and successfully rename my font.
The problem is this is a myfont download and they give you every single glyph, how do you del the ones you have no interest in?

because once generated the h key is giving me a fancy h and I just want the normal one?

Below is the file I'm using
    http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fenotype/no.-seven/webfont_preview.html
    no. seven black

    many thanks

    Hi Fonty,

First off, what software are you using ??

If you are using photoshop maybe you have active the "Contextual Alternates".
Disable this option and try to prove your font again.

Illustrator don't use this option, you will have to manipulate each glyph individually.

This issue has been bugging me for years I didn't think there was a work round, some font would display correctly (AI and PS) others I'd have the full list on show, now I can sort it so they all display correctly, thanks for the information.
