If you're looking to save horizontal space, try Atrament, nice and compressed

I like Libel Suit or Seattle Sans. :) Both bold and very clean cut.

I don't know how BOLD and ATTENTION-GRABBING you want it

    But would
Dharma Gothic ExtraBold by Ryoichi Tsunekawa
    be good enough for that?

I think Adobe Futura looks good for headlines.

If in doubt, use Haas Neue Grotesk.

Eurostile is good and Dharma Gothic for condensed.

    Experimentation is best.

Many font manufacturers ship font packages with individual cuts specifically designed for use at display size which will work particularly effectively as headlines.

They are often called headline or titling fonts; an example would be Hoefler Titling from Hoefler & Frere-Jones which acts as a perfect headline partner to Hoefler Text at body copy size.

All this goes back to the early days of typography in metal, where each cut of the font was different at each set size, and could be used intelligently by the designer or compositor. Early digital fonts took this away, but many of the better type designers are putting this back, and a good thing it is too.

Just that it work in larger sizes doesn't make it suitable...

What this guy said. Just throwing around random fonts without any idea on what it is you are using it for is useless.

Tell us more about your project and you might get some meaningful suggestions.

I think the Bebas Neue, or Nexa Slab, or Museo Slab are great choice for headline texts :)
