I guess Bold Monday wouldn't count since they only have 26 fonts available...

I prefer the good expertise of Linotype and FontFont. They both have much background information and offer good testing opportunities.

Choosing one is too hard ! So I'd say almost every foundries from Village (vllg.com) like Klim, Schwartzco, Constellation !

There's a strong argument for Hoefler & Frere Jones

There never have been as many high quality foundries as there are today. If I would have to pick three of them, I would probably go For H&FJ, Commercial Type and Klim. As an almost unlimited source of timeless classics, the Linotype/Monotype-combination is impossible to beat.

KLIM and the stuff Christian Schwartz (Commercialtype) churns out are always excellent!

I like Colophon, Lineto for more modern look. CommercialType for more general purpose, everything type of thing. Hoefler Jones for headline, menus type of things.

I agree that there has never been so many small, high-quality foundries. Today is so different from the days of the huge foundries and a few small offshoots like the font bureau.

Colophon seems to manage to constantly one up themselves with each release.

As much as I like the big font companies I still love what the other designers come up with. Sudtipos is a good one.
