    Best brush font

    Hello guys,

I'm currently looking forward to some brush fonts that doesn't look to digital/artificial.
Something like the title on independence magazine

    Thanks!

I think the lettering for Interview is probably custom, but check out these foundries for expressive/hand painted or handmade fonts:

The "Interview" titling is most certainly hand-done. For something high-focus like titling, I really find that there's nothing better at looking like "hand-drawn" than actually hand-drawing it yourself. Digital type rarely captures that kind of kinetic imperfection.

A trick, especially if you're not that experienced with drawing type, is to use an existing brush font as a model. You don't even have to download it—I sometimes just use the type-tester on Myfonts and type out the word I want. Then you try to copy it, not exactly but into the way you want, preferably using a brush pen (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=brush+pen)

It helps to do it in bigger scale, for scanning, and also to do a lot of variations. After you scan the ones you like, you can clean it up in photoshop, and later vectorize it if you want.
