Actually it' a stand alone program. It work by intercepting any print job that send to the printer and translate it according to the program setting. It can be used to save the ink output or in my case, i use it to 'lower' the in density of the ink that my printer produce cause i used some kind of pigment ink on art paper media, if i don,t use it, the ink would be to heavy for the media.

I can't use ink saver on Canon iPF750...

When add iPF750 as ink saver printer, the printer driver will disappear.
Is there something wrong? or where may find user menu for download?

    Thanks

Is there somewhere "toner" saving software for laser printers? :)
It would be no less useful than inksaver.

It's just an ink saving tool, not an optimizer.
But it could be useful for personal use

You would need to create the ICC profile for the printer while using the InkSaver. Find a good setting for the InkSaver and then print your targets, measure and create the profile.

I just tried this software, on A4 6700D canon it works fine, however on A3 pro9000 I have mixed results. The prints seem fine but the profile made after installing inksaver is way worse than before.

The problem seems to be that black ink is saved more than it needs to. This leads to reduced contrast in the photos. The color ink is saved too, but I had to manually increase contrast in my printer driver.

After doing this I'm puzzled does it really save ink if I had to manually increase inkflow in my printer driver?
