Agfa and Fuji are well known. Maybe it's just coincidence or a lot of people ara upgrading to newer machines.

There are lots of printers going under or needing to downsize. The OEMs are stuggling because of all the almost new gear going on the market dirt cheap.

Why Agfa and Fuji? No idea

They both discontinued their Production of Imagesetters. Now they use the egines from DaiNipponScreen as OEM. Agfa called them AvalonN (N=new). By AGFA all the OEM Imagesetters from screen don´t support the Printdrive anymore, because they have another PCI Card, so you have to use e.g. the Agfa Platemaker. Also there are many old Maschines in the market e.g. Agfa Galileo thermal, violet...
    AGFA has sold many mashines.
    Hope that will help you

    You have right...
DaiNipponScreen make in the moment most reliable CTP machines in the world... Proof for that is that Heidelberg, Fuji, Agfa and Screen use the same engine... If you wanna buy used machine be sure that he use DaiNipponScreen engine and you want miss... Machines are reliable and very durable...

Heidelberg have used Screen technology (PlateRite 4300S) in Topsetter model. Only difference is outer shell and as I have heard in some motors. They are enhanced as I have been told.

Concerning Heidelberg Suprasetter, that CtP machine is ENTIRELY engineered, developed and produced by Heidelberg. No Screen technology at all.

Besides, yes, Screen makes really high quality CtP machines. At the end they are one of the first who started with CtP technology.
