    What CTP system to buy?

    What CTP system to buy?
We currently run a Mitsubishi SDP ECO platemaker, running around 2000-2500 plates per month with punching offline. Its a polyester system and i'm looking to move up to a metal system with inline punching.

We looked at the Heidleberg system, but before we go for the final order i wanted to hear anyones reccomendations.

We're looking for a very high Ipi on the system ideally, and must have online punching. We run a B3 set-up with about 99% of all plate being for an SRA3 sheet. All plates to run on Shinohara 52 presses.

    Thanks in advance

I recommend Heidelberg Suprasetter 74 too with Signastation and Remote Access. These are good stuffs. We use processless plates without problems.

i use Heidelberg supprasetter and dainippon screen CTP.
Both are ok for your use.
Dai can be sold via dainippon screen directly or resellers like Agfa or Fuji.

Don't take Kodak machines... to much problems with...

Depending on your budget, you may find a Suprasetter quite expensive. A less expensive option could be a Prosetter 52 A3 setter, still from the Heidelberg stable. These, with the correct laser, can run the Agfa or Fuji processless plates.

Check this link out, they did have some good offers.

    Hi,

Use Screen CTP! This is the one of the best on the market!
You can use process less plate or online processor.
    Of course with inline punch.

Another vote for Heidelberg, have had issues with Kodak in the past but that was 10 years ago so might not be relevant. Heidelberg service is top notch.

printing press in philippines commonly use Kodak CTP machines with Prinergy EVO. Other big companies use Prinergy Connect. Because kodak is very low in price:-)

I believe Heidelberg CTP works best. But price is very high.
If you compare, Kodak and Heidelberg is like Nokia and Iphone.

I totally agree with you. I've worked on this one for two weeks to see how it goes, worked on SCREEN PlateRite8600 for 6 months, and after SCREENS I've tried KODAK Trensetter800 quantum. SCREEN & KODAK CTP's are OK, but the best are HEIDELBERG, comming with great SOFTWARE for Imposition.

But if you are starting out and first time using CTP. I advice you to use Kodak Prinergy Evo with kodak CTP. rather than using different application with different machine.

For CTP device, stay away from kodak. Screen is the best. ;)
