    Prosetter 74 with Film problem.

    Hi everyone.

Anyone help me with this problem.

"I have a Prosetter 74 with 30Mw laser, working with Photopolimer Plates. "

The machine was working good until last month, because we note some little colums (formed by tiny lines) over the all wide of plates.

We try all this for found the solution:

    1. Wash Processor
    2.New Virtual Printers
3.Check up all TIFF files with Firstproof software

As well check the Laser and the LVDS interface ( PC attached) on another Prosetter thinking about the Laser not working good. But the test reults was good (no colums on plates).

Any way, somebody have suggestion or the proper answer for this problem.

    Regards, thanks

    Primary suspects

Are the lines in the direction of drum rotation?
Are these lines produced by laser exposure or lack of it?
The answers will help in identifying primary suspects for what causes the lines.
    These may include:
    Dirt (blocking the beam)
    Faulty laser/laser driver
Corrupted data (bad contacts, interference, etc.)

    Good hunting.

    Hi

The lines It seems that did by the laser. The Total area exposed (designed) looks good, but the tiny lines appears.

I clean the laser, Spinner motor and drum, i think could be a driver board, but first i want ensure if can be for another cause.

I check the cables and conectors and looks good.

Do you think can be cause for the Power supply?

    Thanks in advance

Try eliminating possible suspects gradually to isolate the source:
Expose an internal machine file, or from another computer (to see if the source is outside the machine).
Once you know that the source must be inside the machine than the laser/laser driver may be your primary suspects.
The Power Supply would be further down on my list.

    Thanks for all your help.

I Followed the steps above, and i found the problem is the P-IMG-CNTRL board. I will change the board.
