Lotem can be driven by 3rd party rip

AFAIK it is possible for Lotem 400, 800, 800V (diode lasers) but I don't know about the Quatums and later models.

    Read this thread:

    http://printplanet.com/forums/kodak-systems/26519-rip-creo-lothem-400-a

BTW, Brisque may be too old for ripping some modern files (although it's do-able if you create postscript from new versions of pdf), but can certainly be used reliably as a "shooter" for 1bit tiff files generated with 3rd party rips.

    Good luck.

Harlequin rip with direct interface works well or aas mentioned XPO but you need a late version of a TSP board. REV N.
