We had screen violet CTP and We was not satisfied with all in one results. We bought CREO Trendsetter (thermal CTP) and it is faster, easy to use and easy to maintance. We use cheaper Chines plates called MATRIX.

    Hi Mohamed,

You need the laser head to be remove from the galileo itself, because there will be higher chances that it will broke/damage. You should contact service engineer from agfa.

Note: Please find the crate box of your laser head, there are tools, brackets needed by agfa service engineer

    Thermal And Vilet

Maybe the thermal is better betweeb the violet.

I use the violet Ctp the plate LAP-V isnot easy to find in my country.

But the thermal is very easy.

    Hi Zennague,

It depends on your press condition and the quality and resolution/lpi you want to achive

The more the finer lpi you want to print on your press up to 450lpi you should go to thermal, while going to 200lpi you can go opt to violet technology.

Thermal is still better but cost of laser life is more expensive rather than the violet.

This are only basic information to share with you.

What can people say about CRON UV CTcP UVP-3632FI+? New versions seems to be much more reliable than some previous. The price is very affordable.

    Thermal

I have decided for thermal. 3 years ago. Today I will decide between Thermal and UV CTP with convetional plates.
Thermal is I think best technology, price of plates falling, especialy on chinese plates. Machines are reliable and cheap.
On other side, UV CTP on conventional plates is in start much higher price on machine, but plates is cheaper. But today Cron CTP is relatively cheaper, but is chinese and technology is not so reliable...
So for now I am for thermal...
Violet is the waste of money... Much high prices of plates... I know at least 3 printing houses that put machines on sale and looking for thermal...
