    Hello friends
We are planning to buy new ctp for our printing press. Can you please tell me which is the best ctp (Thermal).
And how about THERMOSTAR T9 from Technova
If anybody using this ctp please tell me advantage and disadvantage of this ctp machine

    Thanks in advance

There are multiple threads on this forum where were shown different opinions on the best thermal ctp device.

If you ask me, choose a Screen device.
Kodak Trendsetters are excellent too, but may be expensive to maintan (for example, if you want to add a new media type, you have to call Kodak $$$).

As for Technova, I have not even been able to find a photo or drawing of that device on google, even less other data.

    You are welcome.

If you are considering an used ctp, also consider AGFA Avalon LF - excellent device, unfortunately not made any more.

We had the same machine now the laser has become weak and we are getting vertical outline all over the plates. We reduced the exposure value from 460 to 250. Now the lines are not as strong as before. This is only for a month. In between we have to find out which latest ctp is best

    Thank u once again

I was in similar position like you last year.
My choice was Agfa Avalon N8-20Sc, which is in fact rebadged Screen 8600.

It is working very well, no problems with it.

A changing of workflow is more serious problem than an imagesetter so keep your side if it is possible
