    Some Good Illustrator Plugins Recommendations:

    I like Livesurface context: http://www.livesurface.com/contextdetails.php

    and Spectr: http://www.specctr.com/

    Both are extremely useful.

If anyone has any more I'd love to know about them :-)

    thanks :)

specctr is nice, but i think 49 dollars is too heavy for only this one job.
take a look to vectorscribe from astute graphics, is makes the measurements better.
or try the cadtools from hotdoor, but these are really technical.

other freebies for measuring are the scripts path length and specify.

    :)

I know the developers of specctr. They are good people.

I have gotten a lot of use out of DrawScript... it allows you to transform bezier shapes into a variety of computer languages (processing, open frameworks, objectiveC, etc)

    dynamic rounded corners

If you want to stay with Illustrator CS 5 or 6 (and not jump to newest versions), I strongly recommend the dynamic rounded corners tool in VectorScribe from Astute Graphics.
It was a revolution for me.
