There is how to do this in Corel Draw, but only using numbers to know, as I believe it has to do with other data and even using a list ... But I can not give more details because I have neither ...
This article (in Portuguese) talks about this: http://corelnaveia.blogspot.com/2011/04/impressao-mesclada-numeracao-e-dados.html

    Try PrintShop Mail

I don't have any idea that coreldraw can do such a variable data printing process....
am I miss something here ???

yes Microsoft Word can do 'mail merge', but with very limited function

as I know, you need vdp software like Printshop Mail or XMPie to handle it. With these software, not only variable 'text' can you print.... but also variable 'image'

example: you can print invitation with different name & different background automatically

I think you cant do that in Corel Draw... Maybe if you Merge an Excel document in a Corel Draw File...
You can do this with word docs.

Just Import the File to a new document in CorelDraw. and take a look in the options available maybe you will find what you are looking for.

If you know a little of programming maybe you will find it easier.

There are many programming forums which can help you... or you can just buy any license..

    Post corel draw print merge

You can do mail merge data in excel file

save as text (tab deliminated) or csv

you must have 1st field column as serial number 1,2,3,4

next field your name address so on

you can browse and attach the file in corel and start data merge

    Print Merge

    Hey,
Of course you can do it, it is pretty easy, I am doing it all the time in InDesign. Create new database in Excel. Crate a column of number 01,02,03..10...as much as you need. Save as unicode text file and don't forget to shut down Excel, attach the file in corel and start data merge. If you need a detailed help, i can post a video link.

For using Corel Printmerge we do this:
    1) Create in Corel the sample file with fields
    2) open it file in Excel, in colmun/rows, as we need (maybe not from the first time you open not in the 1;2;3;4;5;6 etc)
    3) after that insert in excel table your data and save in format for Corel.
    4) Open file in printmerge

After five times with printmerge and big table, and printing more than 500-600 records your find printshop mail and forget about prinmerge
in printmerge, IMHO, good for 5-30 diploma or certificate one time in month, for everyday variable data printing (for example bussiness card for big company, discount cards, lottery tickets, concert tickets....) your need more powerful soft like PSM 6+
