Right now I use photoshop actions to create halfts for prints from channels inside photoshop and then you can print without a rip.

most definitely a option as I have had to resort back to this method while trouble shooting my 7900 for a pressurizing issue.

here is a useful link I went back to recently to freshen up on my manual halftoning

Not sure if you use corel or not; personally I use photoshop and Illustrator but I've looked at corel for outputting art. If you already use corel you should check out simple seps. It's a lot more reasonably priced than other rip software I've looked at. I'm not sure if it's an actual rip or if it just simulates ; but it holds a lot of detail.

i think by using corel, separation studio & accurip- you can do almost anything. it has a bit of a learning curve, but with patience you should be able to get where yo need to be.

What printer are you using there for DTG? The most simple and friendly is EKPrint.

Any suggestion for one on Mac platform. I am doing a test with index colour/dissolve blend method but the result isn't too good. I am looking to separate photos into say 7 spots colours of my choice. Years ago, there was a plug-in for photoshop in OS9. Unfortunately, it is no longer compatible. I am also trying Icefield, but it is strictly cmyk.

    Thanks in advance.
