Hahahaha, I never got to use Freehand. but must say Illustrator is a great help in most of my work...

I have a good friend of mine who keeps using Photoshop (??) for desigining pretty much everything... I keep telling him he is crazy!

Since i used Mountain Lion on my macbook pro, i can't use Corel Draw 11 for Mac. i switch to Illustrator. And i love it. The GUI and layer make me easier to design something.

It is amazing. I do think Adobe could be a bit more open, friendly and progressive in working with users of their APIs though. Apps like LiveSurface Context are truly amazing. Adobe should buy them and bake it in!

I started with CorelDraw, but once I got familiar with Illustrator - would never think to use anything else!

The key to remember about Illustrator is that it is vector based meaning your resolution will never fail - whether you are making your design 1" x 1" or 100 feet x 100 feet.

yes AI for the win .. is there any other choice for vector? XDD
    I think not

great working with type and vector..
for photo i use photoshop and lightroom..

The latest update to CC has been great with the live corners. Can't believe it wasn't implemented sooner.

I actually became more knowledgeable on Illustrator than any of the other creative suites. Eventually I polished my craft but I'm still wondering why Illustrator doesn't allow you to live preview any active text like in Photoshop!

Illustrator is my least favourite of Creative Suite. Although its improved vastly, it's still clumsy in the way it handles images, needing to be masked and how it doesn't even display a lowres image for images that are missing.Reguardless of how much ram you have, It gets slow and slugish with large complex files, and there is still no collect for output
