How to SPEED UP PC??

Hey guys, whats your best suggestion(s) for speeding up a PC. I'm using CCleaner, happy with it, but lately PC has been slowing. Any other software suggestion or tweaks to CCleaner (e.g advanced settings tweeks) to boost my PC's speed. Any suggestions welcome including registry programs, general utilities etc like TuneUp...???

Yes I have. haha thanks for suggesting that. A new PC is in the pipeline...but before this reaches recycling, any tips on improving speed aside from the more common s like start-up optimisation, cleaning temp files/history etc... thanks in advance

You've tried freeing up your PC's harddisk memory?
And you can always try to defrag it first.

Thumbs up Buy an SSD

The best solution for speed up is to install your OS and software on a SSD.
Buy an SSD as small as you afford and you will be shocked by the difference

defrag your disk, clear temp, delete unused file, delete duplicate file, just install what you need

Windows always slows down, sor or later. Sometimes the best thing to do is to make "PC free" day and reinstall everything.

cccleaner works nice, but you will see minimal performance increase.

If you are using windows vista or 7 the best thing to do is turn off all the fancy graphic junk. Also, go to run, and type "msconfig", go to the services tab, check the box at the bottom that says "hide all microsoft services", and disable all... Then click the startup tab, and disable all (leave anything checked that you actually need, like maybe anti-virus software)... The startup thing is the major windows bottleneck. Just about everything you add to your computer will add something that automatically starts when you start windows, and 99% of the time it is completely unnecessary, and just wasting your resources.

Just those 2 things will show a great improvement.

Also google "how to make windows (insert version here) faster"... you will find even more tips.

You can speed up your PC by using CCleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

It deletes old registries , fixes errors and deletes old temp files.
Also try defragmenting your HDD every 2 months ( Start-Programs-Accesories-System Tools-Disk Defrag). If your PC is still slow then it might be time to purchase a new pc. You can make fairly cheap pc's running on AMD APU because they have build in graphics and quite powerfull procesors for that price.
