I used "Font Expert" font manager you can view sample text

Assign Keywords, Ratings and Categories to Fonts
Assign keywords, categories, ratings and captions in new Tags view.
    Search in Database
Search for fonts in the database by keywords, ratings and categories
Search for Fonts on Local Discs and Network Drives
Search for Duplicates and Corrupted Fonts
detects corrupted and incomplete fonts & manage duplicate fonts.
    Manage Font
    Create Font Library
    Groups view
    Print Fonts
    View Advanced Font Properties

But what i found most helpful it's to created a folder with JPG of sample of the font in used. This way instead of looking for the best font type. I can find the font that best fit how i envision the image of my design.

Serif - sanserif - Display - scripts - old - modern - capital only and more specific and own categories.

    Gather with typograf www.neuber.com/typograph/

You can load (temporer install) and unload font categoriy easily.

I have a main folder and called it fonts, then I have subcategories such as Script, Serif, Sans Serif, Grunge, Hand Drawn Style, etc.

    Thumbs up

I was searching here for some ideas how categorize my fonts and I came up with this "old" thread.

At this moment I organize my fonts by alphabet and I believe it really doesn´t work.
Sort fonts by foundries looks cool, but I also think it wouldn´t work if you really work with design (instead just collect fonts).

Example: You need to create an attorney logo, would you scan your fonts randomly by alphabet or foundry? I don´t think so, You would pick a font style that suit your purpouse.

This is why I believe organize by styles would work better.

I organize my fonts by styles. And not just general styles, I use very specific and detailed names.

How would the Date Influence in the Categorization?

I find it helps me place it stylistically abit, and just out of general interest.
